Cacao beans destined to become raw cacao powder, aren’t roasted at high temperatures. Instead, they’re processed at low temperatures and then milled into a powder. Cacao powder is quite bitter but retains more of the cacao bean’s original nutritional value. What are the health benefits of raw cacao powder? Raw cacao powder is packed with flavonoids. These nutrients have been shown to help lower blood pressure, improve blood flow to the brain and heart, and aid in preventing blood clots. A specific flavanol in cacao called epicatechin, may help with some parts of brain health, including cognition and blood flow. how to brew

Place a heaped tablespoon of cacao chai into a pot with 3/4 cup of water. bring the water and chai to a simmer so you get all the flavors dancing in the pot. Add a cup of your milk of choose, sweetener if desired and bring to a simmer then strain for a milky cacao chai. Alternatively, place a heaped tablespoon into a mug ( with or without a strainer, the finely cut and will settle without a strainer ) and simply add boiling water, sweetener of choice and milk.

little tip, if you add a heaped tablespoon of cacao chai into a mug and a dash of water with your sweetener, mixing it into a paste then adding boiling water. you’ll have a beautifully frothy cacao chai
